Spartan Race
Fitness and exercise can be extremely challenging, so I try to make it as fun as possible. My two friends and I decided to compete in the Spartan Super in Austin, Texas and it was one of the most difficult yet rewarding experiences I have had yet. The entire 3 mile course is filled with 27 different obstacles that each test a separate aspect of physical strength, mental will and determination. I was exhausted by the end of the race, but the best part about the race was that when you finish, they give you a free beer!

Cold Weather
From when I could start to run, my parents would take my brother and I up to Colorado to ski. Since the first time I went down the slopes almost 23 years ago, I am now an experienced skier and snowboarder with 5+ years on both. Every year, we would drive up to a town called Crested Butte, Colorado. I call it my second home because this was where my parents got married. It is an extremely small town at the base of a mountain in a valley. The Ski Resort alone is almost the size of the town. It was here where I cut my teeth on the slopes and became the avid thrill seeker I am now.
Warmer Weather
Cold weather can be fun to enjoy but only for a small amount of time. I always try to make time to head for warmer weather, either heading to my friends ranch on the Pecos River to do some kayaking, travel down to Port Aransas to enjoy the beach, or head up to the lake and get some time on the wakeboard in. My favorite thing to do is kayak out past the surf in Port Aransas for some quiet fishing in the morning while the sun is rising, there is nothing more relaxing. I would rather spend my money on experiences rather then material items because its the memories that last longer than clothes.
